Morane-Saulnier MS.230 N230ET has recently completed a seven-year restoration project and has been put up for sale. One of approximately 1,100 units produced, the plane French Parasol monoplane is believed to have been assembled by Levasseur as one of 18 MS.230s constructed after the end of World War Two.

The plane was been a regular on the European air show circuit starting in 1968, winning many awards before moving to the United States where its continued to receive much attention, winning the “Best Silver Age-1928-1932 Antique” trophy at Sun ‘n Fun 2004. The plane is covered with Irish linen with an excess of 3,000 hand-sewn stitches in the main wing alone and is finished with period-correct hand-brushed nitrate applied as per the original Aéroplanes Morane-Saulnier specification. The recent restoration work included an overhaul of the plane’s Salmson 9Ab Radial engine which now has just 12 hours of runtime since its teardown.

This airworthy trainer is presently located in Polk City, Florida with an asking price of $180,000.00 and comes with a collection of spare parts to ensure that the plane will be flying for years to come. Details HERE.
