Air Zoo’s Winter Break Family Fun Events Offer Holiday Adventures for All Ages

Air Zoo Offers Winter Break Family Fun Events for All Ages

The Air Zoo is bringing holiday cheer to families this winter break with its Winter Break Family Fun Events, featuring hands-on activities, interactive experiences, and exciting special events. With something for everyone, visitors can enjoy indoor amusement rides, full-motion flight simulators, awe-inspiring exhibits, and more—all included with admission. Plus, parking is always free! Sponsored by Charles River Laboratories, PlazaCorp, and Adams Outdoor Advertising, the Winter Break Family Fun Events include four themed activity days and a special Countdown to Noon celebration on New Year’s Eve.

Families can explore science, creativity, and winter wonder during themed Family Fun Days, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each day features unique themes and hands-on activities:

  • Our Tiny World | Thursday, December 26 Visitors can dive into the microscopic world of microbiology, learning about tiny creatures in food and microbes in space. Activities include crafting microbe creations and participating in a scavenger hunt to uncover hidden treasures throughout the Air Zoo.
  • Winter WonderLab | Friday, December 27 This day is packed with chemistry-themed fun! Guests can launch mini rockets, create snowy slime, and paint shimmering snowflakes while exploring science through interactive experiments that captivate both kids and adults.
  • Air Zoolympics: Winter Games | Thursday, January 2 Families can learn about the science behind winter sports through virtual snowboarding, ski jump physics experiments, and sled friction tests. Guests can also design and refine their own mini winter sports courses.
  • North Pole Mystery | Friday, January 3 The Air Zoo Bureau of Investigation invites families to solve an icy mystery using scientific skills to analyze fingerprints, decode secret messages, and crack the North Pole’s greatest case.

Crafts and activities for Family Fun Days are included with admission and available while supplies last. On New Year’s Eve, the Air Zoo will host its Countdown to Noon celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families can enjoy activities leading up to a thrilling balloon drop at noon, offering an early way to ring in the new year.

His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
