B-29 Doc Adds Ride Flights to Wings Over Houston Air Show Schedule

B-29 Flight Experience Rides will be available as part of the B-29 Doc arrival and participation in the 2022 Wings Over Houston Air Show, Oct. 27-31.

The following is the B-29 Doc Flight Experience Schedule for Houston, TX:

Thursday, Oct. 27

  • 9 a.m.
  • 11 a.m.
  • 2 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 28

  • 9 a.m.
  • 11 a.m.
  • 2 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 31

  • 8:30 a.m.
  • 10 a.m.

B-29 Doc will arrive in Houston Wednesday, Oct. 26, and following ride flights on Thursday and Friday, Oct., 27 and 28, the historic World War II-era warbird will be on static display during the Wings Over Houston Air Show Saturday and Sunday, Oct., 29-30. Doc’s departure from Houston will be Monday, Oct. 31 following morning ride flights.

The B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides will be operated from Ellington Field Airport (EFD). Ride passengers will receive detailed information about arrival times and locations for flight check-in following the purchase of their ride tickets.

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
