For its monthly Commemorative Program Palm Springs Air Museum along with the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation and the Houston Family Foundation present Air War Over Europe, a discussion of the progression of the massive air war that took place over Western Europe during World War Two by Jerry Sweeney and Dr. Isaac Eliachar. The event will take place January 4, 2014 at 1:00pm.Jerry Sweeney and Dr. Isaac Eliachar will discuss the progression of the massive air war that took place in the skies over western Europe during WWII.  With each side committing their most advanced technology to the fight, this truly epic duel played a huge role in determining the eventual outcome of the war. Learn how the US Army Air Force and The Royal Air Force combined efforts to defeat the German Luftwaffe. Flight exhibition scheduled: P-47 Thunderbolt provided by Planes of Fame.

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
