PRESS RELEASE
As spring arrives, the legendary warbirds of CAF Airbase Georgia are ready to take flight for a packed 2025 air show season, bringing history to life across the United States. From March through November, these meticulously restored World War II-era aircraft will be showcased at some of the nation’s most renowned aviation events, performing thrilling aerial demonstrations and offering visitors up-close encounters with historic military planes. This year’s tour is dedicated to two significant anniversaries—the 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II and the 250th Anniversary of the U.S. Navy & Marine Corps, honoring the brave men and women who have served throughout history.
The season kicks off on March 22 with the Wings & Things Festival and Fly-In in Douglas, Georgia, home to the WWII Flight Training Museum. Airbase Georgia will once again take part in premier aviation gatherings, including Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The unit’s FG-1D Corsair is also slated to participate in the U.S. Navy Legacy Flight Program, a breathtaking display that pairs vintage warbirds with modern frontline fighters in close formation.
