Experience History in Motion: The CAF RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit 2025 Tour Schedule

The CAF program presents a nationwide tour that brings the inspiring stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and WASP to life through an immersive and educational experience.

The CAF RISE ABOVE® program is a nationwide initiative dedicated to educating and inspiring individuals by sharing the remarkable stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). Through their courage, determination, and excellence, these trailblazers overcame adversity and paved the way for future generations in aviation and beyond.

At the heart of this program is the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit, a state-of-the-art mobile theater housed in a 53-foot climate-controlled semi-trailer with expandable sides. The exhibit features an engaging short film that immerses visitors in the challenges and triumphs of the Tuskegee Airmen and WASP. The experience highlights their resilience, skill, and contributions to both the military and civil aviation. The exhibit is fully accessible and can accommodate 30 visitors per show.

In 2025, the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit will be making stops at multiple locations across the country, bringing its powerful message to diverse communities. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness history come to life through stunning visuals and compelling storytelling. As of February 2025, the RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit has several upcoming events:

  • February 19-22: The exhibit will be at Flightline Group Inc., located at 3256 Capital Circle SW. Showings are scheduled from 10 AM to 4 PM daily.
  • February 25-28: A private event at Prairie State College, 163 Rochester Dr. Showings are planned for February 26-28, from 10 AM to 4 PM each day.
  • March 12-15: The exhibit will be in Yuma, Arizona. On March 12-13, showings will be held at Fourth Avenue Junior High School, 450 South 4th Avenue, from 10 AM to 4 PM. On March 15, the exhibit moves to MCAS Yuma, 153 O’Neill Street, with showings from 10 AM to 4 PM.
  • April 11-13: The exhibit visits Altus Air Force Base, 309 E Ave. Showings are scheduled for April 11 (STEM-focused, times to be determined), April 12 from 10 AM to 4 PM, and April 13 from 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • April 25-27: The exhibit will be at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, 221 4th St. Showings are on April 25 (STEM-focused), April 26 from 10 AM to 4 PM, and April 27 from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
