December 25, 2014 – Happy Holidays. Museum closed for the holiday.

January 1, 2015 – Happy New Year. Museum closed for the holiday.

January 8 & 9, 2015 – Explorers Club, 9am to 4pm. All day STEM and flight simulation programs for 3rd through 8th graders. Students explore two different topics in science, technology, engineering and math each day. $60 for one day; $110 for both days. Registration includes all program materials. Students provide their own lunch. To register, call 808-445-9137 or register online at PacificAviationMuseum.org.

January 24, 2015 – Color the Cosmos Day, 2pm Ribbon Cutting. Grand opening of Museum’s exhibit showcasing student enhanced Astrophotography images. The exhibit is part of the Smithsonian Affiliate “Youth Capture the Colorful Cosmos” program. Free with Museum admission and free to Museum Members.

March 7, 2015 – Discover Your Future in Aviation. 9:30am to 4:30pm. Young people interested in aviation as a career or hobby will want to attend. This is the sixth year for the special aviation day filled with hands-on workshops, a career fair, flight lab, interactive science exhibits, remote control aircraft flying, and aircraft open cockpits to explore. Participants can enter to win aviation prizes and take photos with historical aviation re-enactors. Free with Museum admission and free to Museum Members.

May 16, 2015 – Open Cockpit Day, 9:30am to 4pm in Hangar 79. Climb into the cockpit of one of several of our historic aircraft and talk story with pilots. Flight suits, helmets, and fun provided. Bring your camera! Free with Museum admission and free to Museum Members.

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
