The Homeschool Academy has announced its upcoming sessions for Spring 2025. Due to popular demand, the same engaging sessions from Spring 2024 will be offered again, allowing more families to participate in these hands-on educational experiences. The first session, titled “The Scale of History,” is scheduled for February 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Registration for this session opens on February 4, 2025. Participants aged 5-18 will explore the significance of aircraft and carrier models in the National Naval Aviation Museum. Through hands-on activities, children will construct age-appropriate models while learning about the various components of aircraft. The cost for this session is $5 per participant, which is nonrefundable.
The second session, “Mission: Robotics,” will take place on March 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with registration opening on March 4, 2025. This session introduces young learners to the fundamentals of coding and robotics. Participants will be challenged to complete tasks such as training exercises, rescue missions, and reconnaissance missions while developing critical problem-solving skills. The cost for participation is $5 per child, which is nonrefundable. The third session, “Fully Charged!,” is scheduled for May 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Registration will be available starting on May 6, 2025. This session provides an opportunity for children to discover the basics of electricity and engage in hands-on projects tailored to their age group. Participants will explore the principles of electrical circuits and energy. The cost for this session is $5 per participant, which is nonrefundable. The Homeschool Academy has established several policies for these sessions. If a registered child is unable to attend, parents or guardians are required to notify the academy immediately. Failure to do so will result in the child being ineligible to register for the next session. Each child must be registered by a parent or legal guardian, and all required releases must be acknowledged by a legal parent or guardian. The registration fee for each session is nonrefundable. Children will be divided into groups based on their ages, but if siblings prefer to remain together despite being in different age groups, the older child or children will be placed in the younger group. The Homeschool Academy looks forward to another season of exciting learning and hands-on activities. Families are encouraged to mark their calendars and register early to secure a spot in these educational sessions.
