The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is seeking community support. Historically, revenue generated from airshows, biplane rides, and merchandise sales has provided the majority of the organization’s operating budget. This budget is essential for winter work planning and preparations for the upcoming season, covering critical expenses such as lighting and heating bills, insurance, IT and security, and other operational costs that restricted donations do not fund. Without these necessary resources, the Aerodrome would be unable to continue educating and entertaining thousands of guests annually as it enters its 67th year of operation. Adverse weather conditions in 2023 and 2024 significantly impacted the ability to hold airshows, which in turn affected revenue. Additionally, the tragic loss of Brian Coughlin deeply affected the Aerodrome’s shows and its community, presenting unprecedented challenges.

Winter work will enable the Aerodrome to continue and expand its education programs, host airshows that engage both aviation enthusiasts and casual visitors, and honor Brian’s legacy as the organization grows and improves.

FUNDS NEEDED: $300,000. Thanks to a generous matching donation from the Disosway Foundation, every dollar contributed will have an even greater impact. This year, funds will be directed to the Aerodrome’s Endowment Fund at CFOS. Donations can be made as a one-time contribution or as a recurring monthly gift to provide ongoing support for this remarkable living history venue. Click HERE to donate.
