Air Force Museum Foundation to Host After Dark: Swing the Night Away Dance Event

The Air Force Museum Foundation will host After Dark: Swing the Night Away on Saturday, February 14, from 6 to 10 p.m., offering adults-only, after-hours access to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The evening will feature live music by the Tom Daugherty Orchestra performing Victory Canteen, swing dancing, themed aircraft displays, and selected artifacts not normally on public view, including items from Wright State University Libraries Special Collections & Archives. Trivia, games, a caricature artist, and food and cash bars will also be available, with ticket proceeds supporting the Air Force Museum Foundation.

The Air Force Museum Foundation, Ohio, will bring back its After Dark program to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force on Saturday, February 14, with Swing the Night Away running from 6 to 10 p.m. The adults-only evening offers after-hours access to the museum along with music, dancing, and a range of activities tied to the swing era. Live music will be provided by the Tom Daugherty Orchestra, performing Victory Canteen, a tribute to the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band. Swing dancing will be available throughout the evening, with space set aside on the Museum floor for guests who want to take part. Visitors will also be able to explore themed aircraft displays and view selected artifacts that are not normally on public display. Materials from Wright State University Libraries Special Collections & Archives will be included. Other activities planned for the night include trivia with prizes, games, and a caricature artist. Food options and cash bars will be available inside the Museum, giving guests the chance to move between exhibits, social areas, and the dance floor during the event.
