The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force educates visitors about the courage, valor, and patriotism of those who served in the Eighth Air Force, the largest air armada in history. The Museum uses films, exhibits, artifacts, and archival materials to tell the stories of the men and women whose sacrifices made victory in World War II possible. Highlights include a fully restored B-17 Flying Fortress and the immersive Mission Experience, a simulated bombing mission using actual combat footage. The Museum is located at 175 Bourne Avenue, Pooler, GA, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from noon to 5 PM.
