The B-29 DOC History Restored Tour, accompanied by the P-51 Mustang Gunfighter, will make a stop at Richmond International Airport from June 12 to June 16. This joint appearance brings two iconic warbirds to Richmond, offering aviation enthusiasts a unique opportunity to experience these historic aircraft up close.
Visitors can take part in warbird ride experiences aboard both the B-29 DOC and the P-51 Gunfighter. The B-29 DOC will offer ride flights on Friday, June 13, and Sunday, June 15, while the P-51 Gunfighter will provide flight experiences on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 13-15. Tickets for these ride flights are currently available for purchase online at www.b29doc.com/rides and www.p51gunfighter.com.
In addition to flight experiences, ground and cockpit tours of the B-29 DOC will be available when the aircraft is not flying. These tours will be open on June 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on June 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and on June 15 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for the tours is $10 per person or $20 per family, with tickets sold at the gate during event hours. The Richmond stop will be hosted by Million Air FBO, located at 400 Portugee Road, Richmond, VA 23250. Public access to the event will be through Million Air only during the designated tour hours. This visit offers a rare chance to explore two legendary aircraft that played significant roles in aviation history.
