SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo, Lakeland, FL, has announced that it will offer several designated viewing areas for spectators looking to watch the SUN ‘n FUN 2027 daily airshow, with options ranging from paid preferred seating to open areas included with general admission. The organization also revealed the event poster earlier in July 2026 (read our article to know more about it). The 53rd edition of SUN ‘n FUN will take place April 6-11, 2027, at Lakeland Linder International Airport in Florida.
The event says next year’s airshow lineup will include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, warbirds, and aerobatic performers. For spectators looking for a reserved location, SUN ‘n FUN will offer Preferred Seating and Photo Preferred Seating. Both provide front-row views of the airshow, along with seating, bottled water, and shaded tents. These areas are available for an additional fee, with Photo Preferred Seating sponsored by one of my favorite camera lens manufacturers, Tamron. Several viewing areas will also be available at no additional cost with admission. These locations use open seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Click HERE to get your preferred tickets.
The Warbird Ramp offers spectators a close view of aircraft operations, with the event encouraging visitors to bring their own chairs and refreshments. The location provides a view of aircraft taking off directly in front of the spectator area. At Taxiway Bravo, elevated bleacher seating provides a view of aircraft movements around Runway 5/23 and Taxiway Bravo. The area is also positioned for viewing warbird and military demonstrations. The Island, sponsored by ProAm Hangar Systems, provides a panoramic view of the airshow from Adirondack chairs and shaded picnic tables.

Food and beverages will also be available at the location. Meanwhile, The Sandbar, located just north of Paradise City, will offer shaded seating, food and drinks, along with a wide view of the airshow and live commentary from the event’s announcers. SUN ‘n FUN is currently offering early-bird ticket pricing, with organizers encouraging visitors to purchase tickets ahead of the 2027 event. The 2027 edition will run from April 6 through April 11, with the event’s viewing areas giving spectators several ways to experience the airshow depending on whether they prefer reserved seating, elevated views, or more casual open-air locations.
