The Planes of Fame Air Museum’s North American B-25J Mitchell (s/n 44-30423), built in Kansas City and delivered in 1945, did not see combat but served as a U.S. Air Force test aircraft until 1958. It was later acquired by the museum in the early 1960s. This B-25 has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including Pearl Harbor, Forever Young, Con Air, and Catch-22. It also functions as a camera platform for aerial shots in films like Air Force One and is a popular attraction at airshows.
