The B-29 “DOC”, one of only two remaining airworthy B-29 Superfortress bombers worldwide, will bring its History Restored Tour to Wilmington, Delaware, and New Castle Airport, May 12-14, 2025. The public can view the historic aircraft and its flight operations from public viewing and access areas around the airport, and the aircraft will be available for ground and cockpit tours at an air show to be announced later in the Wilmington region at another airport a few days later.

The iconic B-29 “DOC” is one of 1,644 B-29 bombers built by the Boeing Company in Wichita, KS, during World War II. “DOC” will be hosted by flyADVANCED Aviation Group while at New Castle. The Wilmington tour stop is the second stop of what will be a six-and-a-half week, 47-day tour that will include tour stops in eight cities. While at New Castle Airport, the B-29 will be available for Flight Experience rides only, and tickets are on sale now at www.b29doc.com/rides
