The various systems and assemblies have been farmed out to specialists across the nation; presently the wings are being restored by American Aero Services in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, the fuselage is with GossHawk Unlimited in Casa Grande, Arizona, while the BMW 801 Engine is in the capable hands of Vintage V12s, Inc. in Tehachapi, California.
Once completed this plane will be one of only two Focke-Wulf Fw 190s in the world that are capable of flight, though the Collings Foundation has also acquired another Fw 190D-9, #210096 which was shot down in Germany on April 23, 1945 and recovered in 1989 which they have indicated they intend to restore sometime in the future as well.

Hi there,
Can we get a photo of this plane in its current state. I’d love to see what it looks like.
Thank you,
David
Hi David,
There isn’t much in the way of photographs, but you can look at some at the Collings Foundation website, at http://www.collingsfoundation.org/ma_FockeWulfFwF8_pics.htm
Be assured as soon as more information becomes available, we’ll post it here at WN.
Roger
When will the Focke-Wulf 190 be worked on in New Smyrna Beach? I am coming to Florida in January or February and would like to see it and get information on it. Is that possible?
Thank you,
