A Swedish Air Force Historic Flight (SwAFHF) Saab AJS 37 Viggen, SE-DXN/37098,  made its UK debut at the Jersey International Air Display.

The Mach Two-capable jet fighter had made its first flight in over 15 years just a few months earlier, following a 2500 Hour refurbishment in The Flight’s facility in Såtenäs, Sweden. The show’s organizers have cultivated a close relationship with the SwAFHF, which also sent along a Saab J29F Tunnan SE-DXB and a Saab 105 SE-DXG. It is hoped that one of the SwAFHF’s Saab J 32 Lansens will appear at the show next year on Thursday 12th SEPTEMBER 2013.

Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands. Approximately 40 square miles in area and situated about 100 miles south of mainland Britain and about 14 miles from the coast of France. Organised by Jersey International Air Display A.R.L. on behalf of the Royal Air Force Association (Jersey) Branch as part of Battle of Britain Week. The aim of the Display is to help raise funds for Forces Charities.
