B-29 Doc History Restored Tour Going to Colorado, Utah, Washington, Nevada and Arizona in May

PRESS RELEASE – The B-29 Doc History Restored Tour has added tour stops in Colorado, Utah, Washington, Nevada and Arizona for the month of May. The tour will include stops in the following cities:

Denver, CO: May 6-8
Wendover, UT: May 9-11
Spokane, WA: May 13-16
Seattle, WA: May 19-22
Minden, NV: May 24-26
Phoenix, AZ: May 27-29

“This tour will give warbird fans in these areas a unique opportunity to see one of only two B-29 Superfortresses still airworthy and flying today,” said Josh Wells, B-29 Doc executive director. “Our mission with the B-29 Doc History Restored Tour is to tell the stories of the men and women who designed, built, flew and maintained these magnificent machines that helped deliver victory over oppression during World War II. We are dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served our nation, and who continue to fight to protect freedom at home and abroad.”

The event will be hosted by Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight at Centennial Airport (13005 Wings Way, Englewood, CO 80112) Friday, May 6, through Sunday, May 8. Ground and cockpit tours will be available Friday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as well as on Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., following the morning ride flight schedules both days. B-29 Doc will arrive at Historic Wendover Airfield Monday, May 9 and will be available for B-29 Doc Flight Experiences, as well as ground and cockpit tours May 10 and 11. Event Details for the B-29 History Restored Tour in Spokane, WA

B-29 Doc will be a performer at the Fairchild Air Force Base SkyFest 2022 air show, May 14 and 15. Doc is scheduled to arrive at Fairchild AFB Thursday, May 12, and will be available for static ground and cockpit tours during the show, along with participating as an air show performer both days. B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides will be available Monday, May 16. B-29 Doc will be hosted by The Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA, May 19-22. Ground and cockpit tours will be available Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and again Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. following morning ride flights on Saturday and Sunday. Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
