AirCorps Aviation continues to raise the bar of Warbird restoration. We recently talked in our article about AirCorps Aviation’s Reverse Engineering, a state-of-the-art technology that allows for accurate scans of new parts and dimensional inspection of original parts. Today the Bemidji, MN based firm launched the AirCorps Library, an online platform that hosts 500,000 indexed and searchable drawings and blueprints, as well as manuals covering design, flight, maintenance, and restoration. The goal of AirCorps Library is to provide a subscription-based, cost effective platform for users to share Vintage Aircraft and Warbird resources with the objective to promote, preserve, and ensure that WWII and legacy aircraft fly safely through the 21st century.
The printable drawings are all quickly & easily accessible through a bespoke, state-of-the-art website, either from a desktop or mobile device at high resolution. Memberships are renewed annually and are priced either $ 25.00 for specif “Classics” aircraft and $50.00 for “Fighters” and “Bombers” .After having acquired the original microfilm blueprints and manuals, they were painstakingly scanned, indexed using the original manufacturers’ part numbers and implemented in our revolutionary database, in a process that took several years and that we will keep on updating regularly with new content.Eric Trueblood, Co-Owner of AirCorps Aviation and Project Leader of AirCorps Library told WarbirdsNews: ” Our belief is that the information can grow exponentially, as users see the value in the AirCorps Library community and can actively help by sharing resources, knowledge and experiences.”
With over 500,000 searchable microfilm drawings, access from mobile devices, different type of aircraft divided by Fighters, Classics, Bombers, and reasonable costs, AirCorps Library is the most advanced and effective online aviation library available to date.
