PRESS RELEASE – B-29 Doc will bring its History Restored Tour to Alabama and Louisiana with two tour stops between April 19 through April 25. This portion of Doc’s southeast tour will include visits to Monroe, LA, and Mobile, AL. Both will feature B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides, along with ground and flight deck tours.
The tour stops in Alabama and Louisiana will follow the April 16-18 tour stop in Fayetteville, AR, which was previously announced.
Event Details for B-29 Doc in Monroe, LA
B-29 Doc will be hosted by AvFlight Monroe at Monroe Regional Airport (KMLU) April 19-22. Doc will arrive in Monroe Monday, April 19 and will be available for ground and cockpit tours Tuesday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides will be available at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22, followed by ground and flight deck tours on those days from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for the static display event and flight deck tours will be $10 per person. The Mobile Downtown Airport and Signature Flight Services at the Mobile Downtown Airport (KBFM) will host B-29 Doc in Mobile at KBFM April 22 through April 25. Gates will open Friday, April 23 for static ground and flight deck tours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. B-29 Doc Flight Experience rides will be available at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, followed by ground and flight deck tours from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., following morning ride flights.
