After Dark: Bombers & Brews Take Center Stage At The National Museum of the United State Air Force on November 2

The National Museum of the USAF comes alive in a new way as the doors open for this adults only soiree that features, food, music, aircraft to explore, presentations to enjoy, and all manner for fun for attendees.

The National Museum of the United States Air Force will play host to the public’s chance to see the museum after dark this November 2 during their After Dark: Bombers & Brews.  This event will feature a variety of activities to help kick off November and the start the gathering season while supporting the host organization, the Air Force Museum Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for the Museum.

Wear your dancing shoes and take to the dance floor for favorite songs from the 60s through today. The local band, Flashback, will perform throughout the evening.  Take a break from the dance floor to visit the caricature artist, grab some hors d’oeuvres, or visit the cash bar.  If you really want to get into the spirit, get a head start on No-Shave November and compete in a Mustache Contest inspired by Brig Gen Robin Olds!

Not a dancer?  There are several additional options for entertainment during the evening. Enjoy exploring the open aircraft that will be available during this evening: the Convair B-36J Peacemaker, enter the Boeing B-1B Lancer’s cockpit, and look inside the McDonnell Douglas F-4C Phantom II.  Attendees can also check out a presentation by Group Captain (Retired) Andrew Lloyd, RAF on Dayton’s significance for code breakers during WWII or join the presentation on the famous “lost” bomber, “Lady Be Good”, a B-24D that vanished seemingly without a trace during her first mission in WWII.  Also on tap is a display of artifacts and a presentation on the B-36 by Brian Pierson, who is currently constructing his own replica Peacemaker cockpit.

Experience the Museum in this fun new way!  Doors will open for arrivals at 5:30 p.m. and the event takes places from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. This is a 21+ only event that requires pre-purchased tickets. Tickets are just $40 each and can be purchased here.

She is the Operations Logistics Coordinator at CAF Airbase Georgia and an accountant with a degree in Economics from the University of Georgia.
