The 2026 Good Neighbor Day Airshow & Aviation Expo welcomed families and aviation enthusiasts to DeKalb–Peachtree Airport on September 19 for a day of aircraft displays, aerial performances and hands-on experiences designed to inspire the next generation. The sold-out STEM Expo gave young visitors opportunities to meet pilots and aviation professionals, explore local flight schools and businesses, and discover careers in aviation and aerospace. On the ramp, guests viewed civilian aircraft alongside U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy assets.

In the sky, performers brought a wide range of aircraft and flying styles to PDK. A drone show and fireworks capped the evening, although a nearby lightning storm required organizers to shorten portions of the planned night airshow. “Our goal was to create a day where children could do more than watch airplanes fly,” said Moreno Aguiari, airshow coordinator. “We wanted them to meet the people behind the aircraft, try something new and leave with a sense of what might be possible for them.”

“We are extremely happy with the outcome,” said Airport Director Hunter Hines. “We’ve received many compliments from guests and positive feedback in our vendor surveys. We’ve also taken note of what we can improve for the next event. This year, we raised the bar with a beautiful drone show and fireworks display, and we look forward to making the next airshow even better.” With each edition, Good Neighbor Day Airshow is becoming one of Atlanta’s standout community events and one of the most anticipated airshows in the Southeast. Organizers thanked DeKalb County, its law enforcement agencies and fire departments, the Civil Air Patrol, performers, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, airport staff, Aero Center and Atlantic Aviation teams, and the production crew who made this year’s event possible.

The Good Neighbor Day Airshow is planned to return in 2028. Organizers are reviewing feedback from guests, performers, exhibitors, vendors and volunteers as planning begins for the next event. For more information, visit www.pdkairshow.org/
