The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) has unveiled the lineup for its 2025 “12 Planes of Christmas” campaign, an annual holiday fundraiser supporting the restoration and preservation of historic World War II aircraft. Now in its 10th year, the initiative has become a cornerstone of the CAF’s efforts to sustain its fleet of rare warbirds. Since its launch, the campaign has raised more than $2.8 million, including over $500,000 in 2024 alone. These contributions have played a pivotal role in returning multiple aircraft to flight and advancing the organization’s mission to educate, inspire, and honor.

This December, the CAF will spotlight 13 aircraft, each representing a distinct chapter of aviation history and currently undergoing restoration by volunteers across the country. The 2025 lineup includes:

“The ‘12 Planes of Christmas’ has become a vital campaign that allows us to continue to ‘Keep ’em Flying,’” said CAF President and CEO David Oliver. “The generosity of our supporters ensures these extraordinary aircraft remain active, preserving the stories of those who flew and maintained them for future generations.” Details on how to support the 2025 campaign will be released in the coming weeks.
