2013_Airshow_PosterThe 25th Annual Salute to Veterans Air Show will be held at the Columbia Regional Airport in Columbia, Missouri on May 25-26. This year’s program includes an impressive array of planes and warbird demonstrations.

Aerial performances will include the US All Veteran Parachute Team and the Canadian Forces Parachute Team, the Kansas City Dawn Patrol “Flying Circus,” an SNJ-Texan Aerobatic Demonstration, P-51D Mustang “The Gunfighter” Aerobatic Demonstration, B-13 Vultee “Valiant Echoes” Aerobatic Demonstration, “Trojan Phlyers” Aerobatic Demonstration Team and the incomparable AeroShell Aerobatic Team performing in their T-6 Texans and many more, including flyovers by many of the historic aircraft in attendance.

There will be over two dozen airworthy aircraft on display on the tarmac, from a 1916 Nieuport 11 replica to a Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon allowing show-goers to get up close and personal with these historic craft, meet the crews and learn the stories of these historic craft.

Gates open both days at 9:30AM and events are scheduled to conclude at 3:30PM. Food, games and rides for the kiddies as well as military vehicles and antique cars on display ensures that there will be something for everyone in the family to enjoy at this FREE Memorial Day Weekend event.

Moreno-Aguiari

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
