Looking for something unique, fun, and inspiring to do during the holiday season? The B-29 Doc Hangar, Education and Visitors Center provides a unique and one-of-a-kind look into aviation history. Located in Wichita, Kan., at Eisenhower National Airport, the 42,000 sq. ft. facility is an interactive experience for all ages.

December Days and Hours of Operation

  • Saturday, 11/26: Open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, 11/29: Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, 12/1: CLOSED due to private event venue rental
  • Saturday, 12/3: CLOSED due to private event venue rental
  • Tuesday, 12/6: Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, 12/8: Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, 12/10: Open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, 12/12: Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, 12/15: Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, 12/17: CLOSED due to private event venue rental
  • Tuesday, 12/20: Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, 12/22: Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • CLOSED December 23 through January 2

B-29 Doc serves as the backdrop for the public to enjoy bits of history, science, technology, engineering and mathematics that go hand-in-hand with aviation. As a real-life maintenance center, B-29 Doc volunteers will be actively working to maintain the historic warbird while visitors watch, ask questions, and learn about the marvels of B-29 Doc.

Admission

Single: $10 per person, + $5 for cockpit access

Family: $20 per family (up to five people per family) + $10 for cockpit access

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
