CAF AirPower History Tour 2025: Experience WWII Aviation Across The U.S.

The Commemorative Air Force’s AirPower History Tour is set to captivate aviation enthusiasts across the United States in 2025. This annual tour offers a unique opportunity to experience iconic World War II aircraft up close, including the B-29 Superfortress FIFI, the B-24 Liberator Diamond Lil, and the P-51 Mustang, among others.

The 2025 tour schedule features several stops, with more locations to be announced. As of now, the tour is slated to begin in Dallas, Texas, with the Warbird Weekend on May 10-11, 2025. Subsequent stops include Olive Branch, Mississippi (May 15-18), Birmingham, Alabama (May 21-26), Chattanooga, Tennessee (May 29 – June 1), and Reading, Pennsylvania (June 6-8). The tour will also visit Bridgeport, Connecticut (June 6-8), Mansfield, Ohio (June 11-15), Lexington, Kentucky (June 25-29), Evansville, Indiana (July 2-6), Kenosha, Wisconsin (July 16-20), Oshkosh, Wisconsin for EAA AirVenture (July 21-27), Appleton, Wisconsin (July 21-27), St. Louis, Missouri (August 13-17), and will conclude with the Aviation Discovery Fest in Dallas, Texas, on October 3-5, 2025. Each tour stop offers a unique schedule of events, so attendees are encouraged to check the official website for specific details and updates.

For those interested in a hands-on experience, the tour provides opportunities to book flights on various aircraft, including the T-6 Texan and P-51 Mustang. These ride experiences offer a rare chance to relive history from the cockpit of some of the most storied aircraft of World War II.

Admission prices and event schedules vary by location. For example, at the Birmingham, Alabama stop general admission is $20 for adults, $10 for children aged 11-17, and free for children 10 and under. Tickets are typically purchased on-site on the day of the event. As the 2025 tour approaches, additional locations and dates may be added. Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller.
