The Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA, will present a special screening of NASA’s Cosmic Dawn: The Untold Story of the James Webb Space Telescope on Saturday, October 11, at 2 p.m. The event offers visitors an in-depth look at the 30-year journey behind one of humanity’s greatest scientific achievements—the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The screening will be followed by an audience Q&A session with Museum Space Curator Geoff Nunn and NASA Solar System Ambassador Michelle Wilde. The program is free with Museum admission.

Cosmic Dawn chronicles the decades-long effort by NASA and an international team of scientists and engineers who pushed the boundaries of technology, innovation, and perseverance to design, build, and launch the most powerful space observatory ever created. Since its launch in 2021 and operational debut in 2022, the JWST has transformed our understanding of the cosmos, capturing stunning images of the universe’s earliest galaxies and revealing phenomena never before seen. Through behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews, Cosmic Dawn tells the untold story of how the Webb team overcame extraordinary technical and financial challenges to bring this ambitious mission to life.
