The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) has officially launched its annual 12 Planes of Christmas online giving campaign. This initiative plays a vital role in supporting the preservation and restoration of the CAF’s extensive fleet of over 180 historic warbirds.
Each year, the campaign highlights 12 unique aircraft, each with a rich history and significant role in aviation. These aircraft, representing various stages of maintenance and restoration, require financial support to continue flying. Their mission is to honor the legacy of those who built, flew, and maintained them during critical moments in American history. By keeping these aircraft operational, the CAF ensures they can continue to educate and inspire future generations.
Participants in the campaign are invited to explore the stories of the 12 featured planes and contribute to their preservation. Supporters can donate to a specific aircraft or contribute to the Restoration Grant Fund, which directs resources to projects with the greatest need. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact. For more information or to make a contribution, visit www.12planesofChristmas.org. The CAF extends its gratitude to all who help keep history alive through this program.
