Glenn Miller Orchestra Returns to the National Naval Aviation Museum For a Public Concert

The National Naval Aviation Museum at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL, will host an evening concert featuring the renowned Glenn Miller Orchestra on February 6, 2024. Known as one of the greatest big bands of all time, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is celebrated for its distinctive jazz sound. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy timeless classics such as “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “Pennsylvania 6-5000,” “String of Pearls,” and “Tuxedo Junction.”

Concertgoers are invited to a no-host cocktail hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT. The event will take place on Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola. Ticket holders without Department of Defense (DOD) ID cards must complete a SECNAV Form 5512 to access the base. This form will be included in the ticket confirmation email and is also available on the event page. Completed forms must be emailed to Kim Ring at [email protected] by January 17, 2024, to allow for processing. NAS Pensacola will contact applicants with further instructions after receiving the form. For questions regarding pass status, attendees may contact Base Pass & ID at 850-452-4153. Tickets are priced at $65 for preferred seating and $40 for the general public. The museum will open at 5:30 p.m. for the cocktail hour. Tickets are available at this LINK.

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
