The RAF Museum Midlands will conduct its annual high-level aircraft cleaning and inspection on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The work will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the museum, located on Lysander Avenue, Cosford.

This year’s efforts will focus on the suspended aircraft within the National Cold War Exhibition. Additionally, for the first time, cleaning will extend to some of the museum’s larger high-level aircraft in other hangars, including the Wellington and Lincoln bombers.

The specialist cleaning and inspection will be carried out by Totally Wild Access Ltd, experts in industrial rope access. Along with cleaning, the team will perform safety checks on the suspension cables securing the aircraft. Media representatives are invited to film and photograph the cleaning process, capturing behind-the-scenes footage of the team at work. To provide unique perspectives, team members will wear GoPro cameras, offering high-level views of the aircraft and hangar.
