PRESS RELEASE, Palm Springs, CA:  After eight months of lengthy interviews, the Executive Board of the Palm Springs Air Museum is pleased to announce Victoria Cracknell as the museum’s new Development Manager. Board Chairman Dan Gilbertson said “As a non-profit organization, our dedicated staff must wear many hats and Victoria’s multi-skill-sets definitely fit our requirements; it’s the Board’s pleasure to welcome her into the family of the Palm Springs Air Museum.”

“The business of preservation is an expensive proposition; one which now requires a dedicated staff member to lead this essential program and continue to adhere to the Palm Springs Air Museum Mission,” said Managing Director and Board Vice Chair Fred Bell. “Victoria represents the next step in our commitment to the long term vitality of the organization”.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is open 7-days a week, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed just three days a year (Thanksgiving, Christmas and for the annual fundraiser, which takes place on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015). Current summer programs include fun for the whole family events such as Open Cockpit Saturdays, different weekly activities for children and monthly Children’s Discovery Series workshops.  The next time you find yourself near the Palm Springs International Airport, stop in, cool off and stay awhile. Located off of Gene Autry, north of Ramon Road, the Palm Springs Air Museum’s dedicated volunteers are on-hand daily for that extra special experience. Admission price ranges from $8-$15. Children 5 and under and active military with ID are free. The Palm Springs Air Museum is an educational non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, educate and honor our veterans. Over 28 flyable planes and interactive exhibits on World War Two and the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts are housed in 65,000 square feet of climate-controlled hangars, www.PalmSpringsAirMuseum.org or call 760-778-6262.
