This large-scale, immersive event by ROŪGE Theatre Reinvented brings the world of Rosie the Riveter to life at the Military Aviation Museum, in Pungo, Virginia, creating an unforgettable performance adventure.
The story unfolds in January 1942, as the U.S. finds itself in the midst of World War II. Eddie’s Auto Parts Factory faces hardships due to the freeze on car part production, and Rosie, Eddie’s secretary, wonders if the factory might secure a government contract to pivot to airplane part manufacturing. In an era reliant on radio and mail for news and when ration books were household staples, Rosie defies tradition, rolls up her sleeves, and helps shape history. She became the iconic figure who inspired countless women to join the war effort. Virginia playwright Trey Clarkson’s celebrated script is brought to life in this immersive adaptation by ROŪGE Theatre Reinvented at the Military Aviation Museum.
This production is funded in part by the citizens of Virginia Beach through a grant from the City of Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission. To learn more about the performance and to view available dates, HERE. VIP tickets and reserved tables are still available!
