2016 will see the beautiful Vintage Wings of Canada FG-1D Corsair fire up it’s Pratt & Whitney R2800 and take to the skies once again after a 3 year hiatus. Join pilots Paul Kissmann and Francis Belanger in this intensive one-day annual recurrent training on the Corsair. Why are the wings bent? Why did the US Navy stop using it on carriers yet the British continued to do so? These and many more questions will be answered throughout the course of the day.

The Robert Hampton ‘Hammie’ Gray Corsair is an award-winning example of this truly unique and historic aircraft. Throughout this day long program, our pair of seasoned Vintage Wings pilots will give you the ins and outs, ups and downs of this aircraft that you won’t find in any book, things only learned through many years of experience.

This briefing will cover:

• Aircraft technical systems, engine, hydraulics, controls and instrumentation

• Aircraft handling and flying characteristics
