A-10s and F-16s in Afghanistan – Volunteer Presentation Series

Colonel Walter Scales was the 455th Operation Group Commander at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan in 2005-2006. As an A-10 pilot he flew 32 combat missions during his tour, led a 350 person group, and was awarded the Bronze Star and two Air Medals for his service while the group commander. His presentation will be on the capabilities of the A-10 and the tactics used during his tour in Afghanistan.
