I was a Boom Operator on KB29s from 1950-1954. We used the old “Reel” method initially (509th ARS), Then almost immediately went to Boeing’s boom . Other ARS’S stationed me at Walker AFB in Roswell,NM, Bergstrom AFB in Austin, TX and Dow AFB in Bangor, ME
