The B-29 DOC History Restored Tour will make a stop at Magic Valley Regional Airport in Twin Falls, Idaho, from June 18–21, giving aviation enthusiasts an opportunity to see one of the world’s rarest flying warbirds. DOC is one of 1,644 Boeing B-29 Superfortresses built in Wichita, Kansas, during WWII and is one of only two airworthy B-29s still flying today. During its four-day visit to Twin Falls, the historic bomber will be available for cockpit and ground tours, as well as B-29 DOC Flight Experience rides.

“We’re excited to bring DOC to Twin Falls and give people the opportunity to experience one of the most iconic aircraft of WWII up close,” said Steve Zimmerman, aircraft commander for DOC. “These historic warbirds are more than museum pieces—they’re flying classrooms that connect us directly to the stories of the men and women who built, maintained, and flew them.”

The Twin Falls stop is the second of three June appearances for DOC. The aircraft previously participated in the Moses Lake Airshow in Washington on June 12–13 and will continue to Historic Wendover Airfield in Wendover, Utah, from June 24–29. Public tours will be available on Thursday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flight Experience rides are scheduled for Friday through Sunday, June 19–21, with departures at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. each day. Following the flights, visitors will be able to tour the aircraft from noon until 4:30 p.m.
