The annual Members’ Day for the Lincolnshire’s Lancaster Association (LLA) and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Club will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at RAF Coningsby, home of the BBMF. This much-anticipated occasion offers members a rare opportunity to experience a day with the Flight, highlighted by a flying display, subject to weather conditions and aircraft serviceability.

A limited number of additional tickets have now been released. These will be available online only and sold strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Given the popularity of the event, tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Members are reminded that attendance at the gathering is considered a bonus opportunity rather than a guaranteed benefit of membership, and each club member may purchase up to four tickets.

Gates are scheduled to open at 10:00 a.m., once clearance has been given by the Officer Commanding BBMF. Visitors must ensure their membership is current and bring a membership card, photo identification, and either a printed ticket or e-ticket. Entry will be denied without these, and tickets will be scanned on arrival. Bag searches will be in operation for all attendees, and while a fast lane will be available for those without bags, all groups must enter with the membership holder. Tickets and identification are required for everyone aged 16 and over.

Parking must be pre-booked in advance to enable the organisers to manage capacity. Disabled parking is available for Blue Badge holders who can provide both their badge and proof of booking on the day. Entry via Dogdyke Road is restricted to disabled access and, if necessary, to overflow parking under the direction of staff. A park and ride system will operate from the main car park to the BBMF hangar, with the first buses departing at 10:00 a.m. and the final return service leaving the Flight at 4:00 p.m. The flying display will conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m. to allow sufficient time for all attendees to return to the car park.

Throughout the day, buses will run regularly, though services may be less frequent during the display. Bicycles cannot be accommodated, and electric wheelchairs or scooters are not permitted inside the hangar. Seating at RAF Coningsby is limited, so attendees are welcome to bring their own folding or camping chairs. Dogs are not permitted, except for assistance or service animals, and visitors are reminded not to leave pets in cars. RAF Coningsby is a no-smoking and no-vaping site.

Catering will be available from food and drink vendors, and cameras are welcome. Toilets will be provided on site, and attendees are asked to dispose of litter responsibly, as debris poses a serious hazard to aircraft. The Members’ Day remains one of the highlights of the BBMF calendar, bringing together enthusiasts to celebrate the heritage of the Royal Air Force. With the sights and sounds of Britain’s historic aircraft filling the skies above Coningsby, the 2025 edition promises to be a memorable occasion for all who are able to attend.
