EAA Announces 2025 Sport Aviation Halls of Fame Inductees

EAA will honor five new inductees into the Sport Aviation Halls of Fame on November 12, 2025, at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh. Representing homebuilders, ultralights, aerobatics, vintage aircraft, and warbirds, the class includes Vic Syracuse, Rob Holland, Darrel Berry, Mark Holliday, and Dave Cronk.

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will welcome five new members into the Sport Aviation Halls of Fame on November 12, 2025. Each honoree represents a distinct facet of aviation—homebuilt aircraft, ultralights, aerobatics, vintage aircraft, and warbirds—reflecting the diversity and innovation that define the EAA community. The 2025 inductees are:

  • EAA Homebuilders Hall of Fame: Vic Syracuse – Noted aviation writer and former chairman of the EAA Homebuilt Aircraft Council.

  • International Aerobatic Club Hall of Fame: Rob Holland (posthumous) – 13-time National Unlimited Aerobatic Champion and world-class air show performer.

  • Warbirds of America Hall of Fame: Darrel Berry – Owner of BMT Aviation and founding member of the Ridge Runner flight team.

  • Vintage Aircraft Association Hall of Fame: Mark Holliday – Chief pilot of the Vintage Aero Flying Museum.

  • EAA Ultralights Hall of Fame: Dave Cronk – Ultralight designer and 1975 Hang Gliding World Champion.

Established to honor aviation pioneers and leaders who embody the spirit of EAA, the Sport Aviation Halls of Fame recognize individuals chosen by their peers for their lasting impact and contributions within their aviation disciplines. The induction ceremony will take place on November 12, 2025, during a dinner in the Eagle Hangar at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
