Atlanta, GA – warbirdsnews.dev is pleased to announce the addition of Robert F. Dorr as the new staff writer for the website. Bob, as he likes to be called, will contribute to the website with exclusive articles reviewing the fighters of the mighty “Century Series” and other WWII aviation topics.

Dorr is the author of seventy books and literally thousands of magazine pieces about aviation and military affairs, including more than 1,700 articles alone for the four Military Times newspapers. He writes a weekly opinion column for Air Force Times, monthly columns for Combat Aircraft, Air International and Aerospace America magazines and a quarterly column for Air Power History. Dorr’s first paid magazine article was in the November 1955 issue of Air Force magazine. He was just fifteen at the time.

Moreno Aguiari, founder of warbirdsnews.dev commented, “I am honored to have Bob as part our team. I have read several books written by Bob and to be able to have articles with his signature style on warbirdsnews.dev is really something special for me.”

He has been very influential in my career as an aviation journalist and photographer, and I greatly value his friendship. I’m really looking forwards to working with Bob on a professional basis in the years ahead!”

Dorr’s first article for Warbirds News will be appearing on Monday morning. Entitled, “Not a fighter”, it will discuss the Grumman Avenger.

Well known for his brilliant historical journalism in books such as Hell Hawks and Mission to Tokyo, Robert F. Dorr has also recently published his very first novel, Hitler’s Time Machine, a gripping tale following the “what if” scenario that time travel technology were available to the Axis and Allies during WWII.
