National Championship Air Races Announce Competitor Lineup for 2025 Return in Roswell
The National Championship Air Races have unveiled the full competitor lineup for their 2025 debut in Roswell, New Mexico, set for September 10–14. Fans can expect five thrilling days of high-speed aerial competition across multiple classes, from Jets and T-6s to Biplanes, Formula 1, and STOL Drag, marking an exciting new chapter in the world’s fastest motorsport.
The National Championship Air Races (NCAR) are proud to reveal the official field of competitors for the highly anticipated 2025 debut in Roswell, New Mexico, set for September 10–14. For the first time, the world’s fastest motorsport will take to the skies over Roswell, bringing heart-pounding aerial competition to the “Land of Enchantment” and adding a bold new chapter to the region’s rich aviation heritage. Fans can expect the very best race pilots and aircraft across multiple classes, each pushing the limits of speed, precision, and daring. From the thunderous velocity of the Jet Class and the legendary rumble of the T-6 Class, to the agility of Formula 1 and Biplane racers, plus the ground-level intensity of STOL Drag, the 2025 event promises five days of unforgettable racing action.

Born in Milan, Italy, Moreno moved to the U.S. in 1999 to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. His aviation passion began early, inspired by his uncle, an F-104 Starfighter Crew Chief, and his father, a military traffic controller. Childhood adventures included camping outside military bases and watching planes at Aeroporto Linate. In 1999, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to obtain his commercial pilot license, a move that became permanent. With 24 years in the U.S., he now flies full-time for a Part 91 business aviation company in Atlanta. He is actively involved with the Commemorative Air Force, the D-Day Squadron, and other aviation organizations. He enjoys life with his supportive wife and three wonderful children.
