The Commemorative Air Force Airbase Georgia, Peachtree City, GA, has announced its 2026 schedule of appearances at airports across Georgia and beyond, where visitors will have opportunities to see restored World War II aircraft and, at some stops, take rides in the historic planes. According to the organization, the aircraft are expected to appear at seven airports in Georgia during the year, with additional out-of-state events also planned. Organizers said more dates could be added. The 2026 flying season is being dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

Between March and November, Airbase Georgia aircraft are scheduled to appear at more than a dozen airports around the country. The traveling fleet includes several restored military aircraft and trainers, such as the North American P-51 Mustang, Douglas SBD Dauntless, Beechcraft LT-6 Mosquito, Bell P-63A Kingcobra, Fairchild PT-19 Cornell, and Beechcraft T-34 Mentor. Not all aircraft will appear at every event. The season is scheduled to begin March 21 with the Wings & Things event at Douglas Municipal Gene Chambers Airport in Douglas, Georgia. At that event, the PT-19 Cornell trainer, an aircraft type once used in the training of Tuskegee Airmen, will be on display and available for ride flights.
