Often held in conjunction with air shows, fly days and other special events, these reenactments can run the gamut from simulated aerial dog fights, to air to ground battles featuring a casts of hundreds and featuring small arms, cannon and artillery fire with explosions, smoke and other pyrotechnic effects.
