The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is easily the most iconic and well loved jet that the US Navy has ever fielded, and her absence in the skies is keenly felt by so many of us who grew up with this magnificent aircraft. So we thought none of you would mind a gratuitous post featuring some fabulous official images of the mighty swing-wing beast and her crews in action. Depending upon the response we get, we hope to do more of these photo-essays in the future, so let us know! In the meantime, please enjoy!
Oh, and we’d love to hear from anyone who flew or worked on Tomcat’s too… so please feel free to post in the comments section!
WarbirdsNews would like to thank all the brave men and women who serve and sacrifice for a more peaceful world. We would also like to the photographers who took these magnificent images (all credited in the captions)!

Many thanks! You treat her with respect in your write up and I as a Navy vet appreciate that. I run a page dedicated to the F-14. I will be sharing this link to my page.
Many thanks indeed! We LOVE the Tomcat, and are pleased to have given you something worth sharing. Make sure you share your page with us too when you get the chance. Cheers! Richard
Love this idea! Hope you keep doing Tomcat Tuesday. I was a F-14 maintainer and maintenance instructor for 15 years out of NAS Oceana
Thanks so much Ed!… If you have any stories to share, we’d love to hear them!
I love this post! During my service days, I didn’t work on Tomcats, but I worked around them. I have a great shot I can share. How do I get it to you?
