Dynamic Aviation of Bridgeport, Virginia has a long-established and impeccable pedigree within the aviation industry, along with a diverse portfolio of interests. But this organization also occupies a unique position within the D-Day Squadron; it has both a participating aircraft (the C-47 Miss Virginia) and is reinforcing the Squadron mission by providing a King Air 200 support aircraft. This aircraft is transporting key personnel, such as Kevin Riley, Flight Logistics Coordinator for the D-Day Squadron.

The D-Day Squadron has almost completed its journey now, successfully flying fifteen C-47 and DC-3 aircraft across the original North Atlantic “Blue Spruce” route, to once again ply the same skies over Normandy France where hundreds of their brethren (including some within the D-Day Squadron) dropped thousands of paratroopers on the night of June 5th 1944 in support of the Allied invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe. The D-Day Squadron have managed to accomplish this feat—all in time for the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
The D-Day Squadron will join with its European counterparts, Daks over Normandy, to participate in multiple celebratory events in Britain from June 2 thru June 5, 2019. The combined fleet of historic aircraft will then cross the English Channel on June 5th to fly over Normandy, France and drop 200+ paratroopers in and around the original D-Day drop zones. Following the paradrop, the historic transport aircraft will then participate in multiple events at Caen-Carpiquet Airport from June 5th thru 9th, 2019.
