The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) will host its annual Members’ Day on Saturday, September 27, 2025, marking the conclusion of a successful 2025 display season. The event offers BBMF supporters a unique opportunity to visit the Flight’s home base, view the historic aircraft up close, and enjoy a day of aviation-themed activities. Members’ Day is a longstanding tradition for the BBMF, allowing the Flight to thank its supporters for their ongoing contributions. Tickets are limited, and attendees are encouraged to ensure their membership is current, as entry requires both a valid membership card and a ticket, either printed or in digital form.

Attendance is contingent on weather and aircraft serviceability. Organizers will communicate any changes to ticket holders by Thursday, September 25, should conditions prevent the event from proceeding. Gates are scheduled to open at 10:00 a.m., though preliminary security checks may begin from 9:30 a.m. due to the event taking place on an active Royal Air Force base. Photo identification is required for all attendees over the age of 16. Security protocols will include 100 percent bag searches, and a “fast lane” will be available for those without bags, provided they enter as a group with the membership holder.

Parking must be booked in advance, including spaces for blue badge holders, and attendees are advised to follow signage within Coningsby village for both the main and disabled car parks. A park-and-ride service will operate between the car parks and the BBMF hangar throughout the day, with the first bus departing at 10:00 a.m. and the final return at 4:30 p.m. The flying display is expected to conclude by 3:00 p.m., after which attendees are encouraged to make their way to the buses in good time.

Visitors are reminded that the site is strictly no-smoking or vaping. Dogs are not permitted, except for service or assistance animals. While seating is limited, attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs. Electric wheelchairs and scooters are not allowed inside the hangar. Food, drink, and toilet facilities will be available, and photography is permitted. Organizers ask attendees to dispose of litter responsibly, as debris can pose a hazard to aircraft. The 2025 Members’ Day promises an exciting day for BBMF supporters, offering a rare opportunity to experience the Flight’s aircraft and operations firsthand. Organizers look forward to welcoming members for what has become a highlight of the BBMF calendar. With the sights and sounds of Britain’s historic aircraft filling the skies above Coningsby, the 2025 edition promises to be a memorable occasion for all who are able to attend.
