CAF Airbase Georgia to Host “Moonlight Swing” for Nation’s 250th Anniversary

CAF Airbase Georgia will host “Moonlight Swing” on October 17, 2026, in Peachtree City as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations. The 1940s-themed dinner and dance will feature live jazz, WWII aircraft, a silent auction, and proceeds supporting the Airbase’s education programs.

Commemorative Air Force Airbase Georgia, Peachtree City, will host a special “Moonlight Swing” dance and dinner on October 17, 2026, in Peachtree City, Georgia, as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations. The event will take place inside the Airbase Georgia hangar and will feature music by the Peachtree Jazz Edition, with a program built around popular 1940s tunes. Guests will be surrounded by WWII aircrafts, like the P-51 Mustang, FG-1D Corsair, and SBD Dauntless, as part of an evening meant to recall the wartime era. The night will also include a catered dinner with a 1940s theme and a silent auction featuring warbird artwork.

Proceeds from the event will support Airbase Georgia’s growing education programs, which serve students from elementary school through high school. The funding will also help support additional aviation career events. “We couldn’t think of a better opportunity to celebrate our nation’s history and ensure that it will be carried forward for the youth of today and tomorrow,” said Airbase Leader Mark Richards.
