This summer, third to ninth-grade students in the Portland Metro area are invited to participate in Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum’s Aerospace Camps on July 8 – August 2.

The Museum’s summer camps utilize STEAM fundamentals, including science, technology, engineering, art, and math, to ignite a passion for exploration and innovation in future aviators and space explorers. Summer Camp pricing starts at $350, and Museum members receive 15% off camp pricing.

In Aviation Camp, high-flying adventurers jump into the pilot’s seat and dive into the many sides of aeronautics. Students will learn the four forces of flight, design their own airplane, get an up-close view of the Spruce Goose®, and much, much more! The course runs from July 8 – 12 and again on July 22 – 26 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

In Galaxy Camp, future space explorers launch into the outer depths of the universe, signing up for a week of scientific missions. Students discover how to build and launch their own rocket and engineer a solar-powered rover, all while learning in the shadow of real spacecraft. This course runs from July 15 – 19 and again from July 29 – August 2 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Each camp is led by the Museum’s Education Director Jay Lacano, three registered teachers, and a teacher’s assistant.  For any summer camp questions, please email [email protected]or call (503) 434-4180. Register now.
