This summer, third to ninth-grade students in the Portland Metro area are invited to participate in Evergreen Aviation and Space Museumโs Aerospace Campsย on July 8 โ August 2.
The Museumโsย summer campsย utilize STEAM fundamentals, including science, technology, engineering, art, and math, to ignite a passion for exploration and innovation in future aviators and space explorers.ย Summer Camp pricing starts at $350, and Museum members receive 15% off camp pricing.
Inย Aviation Camp, high-flying adventurers jump into the pilotโs seat and dive into the many sides of aeronautics. Students will learn the four forces of flight, design their own airplane, get an up-close view of the Spruce Gooseยฎ, and much, much more! The course runs fromย July 8 โ 12ย and again onย July 22 โ 26ย from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.
In Galaxy Camp, future space explorers launch into the outer depths of the universe, signing up for a week of scientific missions. Students discover how to build and launch their own rocket and engineer a solar-powered rover, all while learning in the shadow of real spacecraft. This course runs fromย July 15 โ 19ย and again fromย July 29 โ August 2ย from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.
