The Warbirds of Glory Museum is set to host its annual fundraising gala, Hollywood & History, on May 17th at the American Spirit Center. This special evening will blend the glamour of Hollywood with the rich heritage of aviation history, all in support of the museum’s educational programs and aircraft restoration efforts. A major highlight of the evening will be a keynote presentation by Catherine Wyler, producer of the acclaimed 1990 film The Memphis Belle. The event will be emceed by renowned warbird pilot Doug Rozendaal, adding an extra layer of authenticity and excitement to the night. Guests attending the gala will enjoy a full dinner and refreshments, along with compelling presentations from museum staff and students involved in the museum’s innovative youth program. These student speakers will share how their experiences with the Warbirds of Glory Museum have shaped their lives and contributed to the ongoing restoration of the B-25 Sandbar Mitchell.
Following Wyler’s presentation, attendees will be treated to a screening of The Memphis Belle, offering a memorable conclusion to an inspiring evening. Earlier that day, the museum will also host an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving the public a unique opportunity to view firsthand the restoration progress on the B-25 Sandbar Mitchell and to learn more about the museum’s mission.
