The Vulcan to the Sky Trust, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, has released three new dates for its Vulcan XH558 Airside Tours, giving supporters another chance to get close to one of the most recognizable aircraft in British aviation history. The tours will take place on March 15, April 12, and May 10, with tickets priced at £25 per person. Click HERE to book your tickets. Each date is split into two sessions, with a morning visit from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and an afternoon session running from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Visitors begin the day at the Trust’s office, a short distance from where XH558 is based at Doncaster Sheffield Airport. After a short welcome briefing over tea or coffee, guests can present their e-ticket details so security passes can be prepared before boarding the coach to the airfield.

Once through site security, visitors can spend around 90 minutes with the aircraft. The tour includes time beneath the Vulcan’s huge delta wing, where many of the thousands of names carried by the aircraft can be seen. Volunteers from the engineering team are on hand throughout the visit, and guests can ask about the ongoing work involved in keeping XH558 in good condition, from inspections and oil changes to testing and minor repairs.

Guests can also spend time in the cockpit, with a short explanation from a volunteer, and can look into the aircraft’s large bomb bay. Depending on maintenance schedules, visitors may be able to see systems such as the bomb bay doors, landing lights, or flight control surfaces being tested during the visit. At the end of the session, the group returns by coach to the meeting point. There is time throughout the tour for photographs, so visitors can capture a few memories of their time alongside XH558. The dates for the 2026 Ground-Run Experience of the Vulcan XH558 are also available. You can read more about the event HERE.
