The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins,GA, is kicking off the holiday season with one of its most cherished traditions. The Planes and Trains Model Railroad Display returns November 23–30 in the Century of Flight Hangar, filling the museum with the charm and fascination of model railroading. Presented annually by the Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club, the display features everything from intricate T-scale layouts to large G-scale trains, alongside a beautifully detailed miniature airport.
This family-friendly event captures the timeless joy of the holidays. Santa will make special appearances on November 28 and 30, arriving with his sleigh for festive photo opportunities. Visitors can explore a Christmas Village, a circus scene, and beloved characters such as Thomas the Tank Engine. Additionally, a train vendor will be on site, and guests can participate in a raffle for a starter train set.
Admission is free, making this an ideal Thanksgiving week outing for families seeking a relaxed and memorable experience. Please note that the museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, so plan your visit accordingly. The Museum of Aviation looks forward to hosting the Planes and Trains display each year.
